The last step that you must take if you want to close your account is to send in your payment. They will then close your account. In case of debit cards, the account balance will be deducted from the card account.
For getting the account closed, you must first determine the amount of money that is in your account. You can always call the bank or the post office to get the details. You can also calculate it from the bank statement.
After you are satisfied about the amount that you have in your account, you must then contact the UDB and tell them about the amount. you want to pay off the account.
